David Perry

With over 2 decades of radio experience under his belt, David loves nothing more than getting behind the mic to wake up the South Coast.
David lives in Hampshire with his wife Jo and their 4 young children. Their roles are often reversed as David is a keen cook but shies away from anything involving a hammer! David enjoys running and can often be found jogging by the seafront or in the New Forest with his ipod keeping him company.

David has a passion for theatre, but not just watching shows (oh no he doesn’t!) He is also a pantomime veteran and has previously starred in many pantomimes across the South, keeping the young and old entertained throughout the festive period.

Music has always been one of David’s big loves. The first concert he went to was watching Madness at the age of 13. After being disappointed by the cost of a souvenir T-shirt, David decided to show his artistic flare and went home to make his own version, though his Mum still hasn’t forgiven him for cutting up her favourite tablecloth in the process!

We asked David a few quick questions...

First records bought: Album – Abba Greatest Hits Vol 2, Single - Adam and the Ants Stand and Deliver... I’ve always had quite a wide taste.
Favourite musical artists: So many to mention – Stevie Wonder is always great. In the 80’s I was a huge fan of Spandau Ballet, still love a bit of George Michael  and always enjoy a bit of Robbie and Take That.
Favourite interview guest:  Really enjoyed chatting  to both Will Young and Sharleen Spitari from Texas
Favourite thing to cook: I love Italian and fancy myself as a bit of a Jamie Oliver.
